5 Easy Steps
Well that’s what we all plan anyway. Probably like you I’ve been trawling the internet trying to find motivational ideas and quotes to help transform myself into the fit, healthy, amazingly successful person I want to be. Well I’ve found some interesting ideas, some lovely ideas which involve a lot of money and time, and some rather bizarre ideas. I’ve put together a short list of the 5 steps I think might work for me.
- Start Small
Whether it’s exercise, changing your diet, creating a new circle of friends; whatever your main aim is, just make one small step towards it and keep doing it.
- Schedule it
If it’s exercise find a suitable time for you and treat it like an important appointment in your diary. This idea can be applied to many things, if you are trying to create a new social circle for yourself choose an activity that interests you and get out there and do it.
- Make it Fun
Again whether it’s exercise, food, social activities, find what you enjoy doing/eating. It’s so much easier when it’s something you want to do rather than something you feel you should be doing.
- Be Persistent
If you miss a day or eat the wrong thing don’t give up. You’re not perfect, just get back on track the next day.
- Spring Clean
This one seems a bit out of place alongside the others but I always find a good clear out makes me feel so much better. So if you’ve lapsed on your main goal try a good clear out, whether it’s a cupboard, a room, your financial affairs. You will feel better for it.
And there’s also a 6th one I would put in. Try acupuncture. It can help balance your mind and body, you don’t know what you’re missing.
