Acupuncture for Sports Injury

Not many athletes would think of acupuncture for sports injury.

However, it can be extremely helpful. Let’s find out why. Acupuncture for sports injury

Training Schedule

A half-marathon for many people is an event which pushes their body to the limit. Many runners start training early for this event.  They work out their training schedule. In between work, family and other pressures of life, they valiantly try to stick to. Most also cover their nutrition. Or maybe they’re just are waiting until the last few weeks leading up to the event, to really ramp up the healthy eating.  But niggling injuries can derail even the best-laid plans.  These can be really frustrating and your main focus will be how to recover as quickly as possible.

This is where acupuncture for sports injury can help you.

Acupuncture for Sports Injury

You can use acupuncture alongside other therapies, such as osteopathy, physiotherapy and pharmaceuticals, to help heal an injury and get you back on track.  In Chinese Medicine terms, acupuncture can help bring Blood and Qi to an area of the body which has been damaged.  Take a look at this brief video, ‘Acupuncture is Athletic Gold!’. A group of therapists discuss how acupuncture can help athletes with their training and how you can use acupuncture in conjunction with other therapies.  The discussion ranges from proof via MRI scans of the effectiveness of acupuncture, to how it can help with digestion and sleep.  It also mentions the other tools acupuncturists use, such as cupping, massage and moxibustion.

Heel Pain
